Jesus… when I hear this name, the word which pops up in my mind first is: Thank you!

Thank you, for my life, that I can live in Him.

Thank you, for He touched my heart and healed it when I needed it the most.

Thank you, for He drew me near and He gifted me with a future full of hope and therefore enriched me so generously.

Thank you, for He showed me who he really is and He led me to understand the meaning of His gospel and what great of a treasure it is…

Thank you, for He gave his life for his bride on the cross so that I can have eternal life…

Jesus Christ… (Jesus – “Yahweh is salvation” Christ – “the anointed”; it corresponds to the Hebrew word for “Messiah”)

• the originator and perfecter of the faith (according to Philippians 1,6 + Hebrews 12,2)
  • He begins the faith and the trust in us
  • He will bring this work in us to perfection until the day when he comes again
  • He is faithful and trustworthy
• in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
  • not just parts of wisdom or understanding and insight in part, no… all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Him
  • so there is therefore no insight or wisdom outside of Him
  • this also includes: we do not need anything but Jesus… no additional knowledge, no supernatural experiences, no work to be saved. He is all we need!
• 100% God & 100% human… (Colossians 2,9-10 / John 17,4)
  • He is God in human flesh
  • He embodies therefore godliness in human form
  • He is the “I am” (John 8,58), like God called himself (Exodus 3,14-15)
  • how exactly does that work? no idea, but it is true.
• His love…
  • revealed itself on the cross because He gave His life for His own (1.John 3,16) …through this we learned what love truely means.
  • we, as His children, can never loose His love for us (Romans 8, 38-39)
• He prays for His bride (John 17)
  • He prays for our faith… God should hold us save and keep us from the power of the enemy
  • He prays so that we might be sanctified through the truth – His word
• He builds His church and nobody is able to take it from Him (Matthew 16,18)
• He welcomes everyone who comes, who the father draws & He will not loose any of His sheep, He will never let go of anyone or even send away (John 6,37)
• Character
  • lovingly and merciful (Matthew 8,15 / 9,22 + 25 / 12,20 / Mark 10,13-16 / John 8,6-11 + 15)
  • compassionate (Matthew 9,36 /15,32)
  • sovereign (Matthew 4,18 + 21)
  • hard on self-righteous people (Matthew 11,20-24 / 15,6-7 / 21,12-17 / 23,13-36)
  • peace givingly (John 14,27 / 16,33)

In short: Jesus is the way of salvation for everyone who believes in Him. He is absolute truth and life itself… because in Him we find true, fulfilling life.

I can write about all these things because I experience them myself… to live a life in Him is unbelievably wonderful and freeing.

That is the reason I love Jesus so much… it is simply HE. Simply His character, His love, His mercy…
